About BukTale. BukTale is the name of this reading and writing platform. BukTale is not registered as a company, partnership, business or any other legal form, and has no legal representative. In these documents, "BukTale", "we" or "the platform" refer to the service and the people who run it.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using BukTale you accept these terms, the Privacy policy and the Community guidelines.
2. Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account. Content rated 18+ is only available to verified adults.
3. Your account
You sign in to BukTale with your Hubmy account. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your access secure; we recommend enabling two-step verification on Hubmy.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to what you publish. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute it within BukTale, which ends when you delete it. You guarantee you have the right to publish it and that it is correctly rated.
5. Prohibited content
Not allowed: sexual content involving minors, harassment, hate speech, incitement to violence, plagiarism, spam or illegal content. See the Community guidelines.
6. Subscriptions & payments
VIP subscriptions renew automatically every month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account and keep access until the end of the paid period. Payments are processed by a certified third-party provider; BukTale does not store card data.
7. Drops and author royalties
Readers can buy drops, a digital credit for use only on BukTale, to support authors and unlock chapters, under the Drops terms. Drops cannot be cashed out or transferred between users. BukTale pays authors royalties for the drops their works receive, under the Licence and royalty agreement.
8. Moderation
We may remove or re-rate content, or suspend accounts that break these terms. You can appeal any decision from the help center.
9. Copyright
If you believe content infringes your rights, send us a notice from the Copyright page. Repeat infringers' accounts will be closed.
10. Changes to these terms
When we publish a new version we will notify you on BukTale and with a push notification. You will have 24 hours to review and accept it; after that period it will be considered implicitly accepted. If you do not agree, you can stop using BukTale and delete your account at any time. You can reread the version you accepted at any time from My account › Legal documents.
